According to Wallstreetcn, the Federal Reserve is drafting a plan to raise the asset threshold that triggers stricter oversight for large banks, a move that would spare some lenders from costly additional compliance expenses and could encourage industry consolidation. The Fed is expected to soon propose adjusting the thresholds for banks to face balance-sheet stress tests and stricter rules on liquidity, capital, and other requirements to reflect inflation and economic growth, and three people familiar with the matter said the adjustments are expected later this year.
