According to CNBC, Apple is set to increase its share in India after strong demand for the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, with customers lining up outside stores in major cities including Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. Tarun Pathak, research director at Counterpoint Research, said Apple’s volume market share is likely to reach 10% in 2026, up from 4% in 2022, while initial channel checks show the iPhone 18 Pro series is seeing nearly 20% higher demand than the iPhone 17 series a year ago. Upasana Joshi, senior research manager for client devices research at IDC India, said higher iPhone prices are making the device a more premium and aspirational choice and that demand should hold steady despite the sharper premium on India pricing. IDC data showed Apple and Samsung gained market share in the June quarter as most Chinese brands lost share, while Apple sold 14.4 million iPhones in India in 2025, out of 37.2 million units in the Asia Pacific market excluding China and Japan.
