OpenAI and Singapore-based ride-hailing and delivery platform Grab have launched a training program for Grab drivers, merchants, and delivery riders to learn how to use ChatGPT in work settings. According to Sina Finance, the program covers Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines, and aims to train about 30,000 workers over the next two years.

Participants will receive three months of free access to ChatGPT Plus and learn practical AI skills. According to Sina Finance, Singapore is the first market where the program has been rolled out, and the workshops will help aspiring entrepreneurs use ChatGPT to draft and implement business plans, while merchants who already run businesses will learn to use the tool for sales and financial data analysis and to identify market opportunities.

OpenAI is also expanding its enterprise business outside the United States. According to Sina Finance, the company said in May that it would make Singapore a regional hub for frontier deployment engineers and plans to hire more than 200 technical staff there.
