Web data infrastructure company Firecrawl said on X that it has completed a $75 million Series B round led by Smash Capital and launched Alexandria, a knowledge base for AI agents. According to ChainCatcher, the product is designed to give agents unified access to the live web, official data providers, and specialized indexes.
Firecrawl said Alexandria currently integrates 82 data providers, 471 data capabilities, and more than 113 million papers, README files, issues, and technical documents. It covers 28 categories, including finance, government, code, shopping, and real estate, and supports access through MCP, CLI, and API.
The company said internal tests showed Alexandria produced answers that were 21% better than built-in web tools across about 1,000 directory-style questions.
