According to Wallstreetcn, Citi U.S. rates strategy head Jason Williams said basis trade positions are shrinking as market dislocations and volatility have fallen sharply over the past few years, and that fewer arbitrage opportunities may mean underlying demand for U.S. Treasuries is stronger than expected.
