JPMorgan Private Bank Eye on the Market report author Michael Cembalest said on September 10, 2026, that Anthropic has committed to about 15 GW of additional power access, with estimated cloud, chip, and data center leasing costs of about $500 billion, up from 1-2 GW previously. According to ChainCatcher, OpenAI is targeting 30 GW by 2030, with data center spending of about $750 billion.

The report said most of the power would come from grid supply or behind-the-meter natural gas generation, while on-site capacity of about 75 GW is almost entirely gas equipment, including deals such as a $100 billion arrangement with Amazon AWS for 5,000 MW. It also said OpenAI has not released the model that reportedly proved the Navier-Stokes Millennium Prize problem and is under mathematical review, while there are rumors of progress on the Hodge conjecture. Anthropic was also said to have made progress on the Birch and Swinnerton-Dyer conjecture.

Cembalest said GPT-6 Astra scored 62% on the ARC-AGI-3 standard harness and 99% on the Provider Adapter score. Francois Chollet said AGI progress is moving faster than expected.
