JPMorgan expects third-quarter trading revenue and investment banking fee income to grow, contrasting with a warning from Bank of America on Monday. According to Sina Finance, JPMorgan Co-President Doug Petno said at a Barclays conference on Tuesday that trading revenue for the quarter ended September 30 is expected to rise about 15% to 19% year over year, and that investment banking fee income is also expected to post a similar increase.

Petno's remarks came as Bank of America said on Monday that its third-quarter trading revenue was expected to be relatively flat year over year. After Petno spoke, JPMorgan shares briefly rose 0.9%, reversing earlier losses.
