Exactly 12 years ago, Hal Finney passed away — one of the pioneers of crypto, the first Bitcoin user, the person who ran the first node and received the first 10 BTC transaction from Satoshi Nakamoto (some believe Satoshi may actually have been Finney himself).
Finney died on August 28, 2014, and had his body cryonically preserved.
Long before Bitcoin existed, he was already giving lectures on cryptography and laying the groundwork for ideas that would go on to change the world.
