India has directed state companies and private refiners to prepare for a sharp increase in cooking gas output as uncertainty over the Strait of Hormuz persists, according to Bloomberg.

The waterway is the key route for about 90% of India’s liquefied petroleum gas imports, and the move is aimed at bolstering domestic supplies as the Iran war continues.
