Bank of America launches a $250 billion infrastructure financing initiative focused on AI, energy and strategic U.S. sectors
đŠ Bank of America has launched its Critical Infrastructure Finance Initiative, targeting $250 billion in financing and capital deployment over 18 months through July 4, 2027.
⥠The initiative will focus on three key areas: digital infrastructure such as data centers, chips and telecommunications; energy and power systems; and core infrastructure including transmission grids, transportation, water systems and critical minerals.
đ” The $250 billion figure covers lending, investments, capital markets and advisory transactions, meaning it does not represent entirely new cash directly deployed by the bank.
đ The initiative could support growing capital demand from the U.S. AI infrastructure buildout, benefiting utilities, data centers, semiconductors, construction and critical minerals. Execution will still depend on interest rates, permitting and power-grid expansion.
