Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group analyst Derek Halpenny said the Federal Reserve's next policy move may be a rate cut in 2027, according to Jiemian News. He said oil prices are expected to fall as the U.S. government pushes for an agreement with Iran, which would give Fed Chair Kevin Warsh more room to avoid raising rates. Halpenny also said concern in the U.S. government about rising Treasury yields may be one reason the U.S. and Japan take coordinated action to push the yen higher.
