A spokesperson for the company confirmed on Tuesday that recent court documents have been filed to re-establish the registration location, but declined to disclose the reasons.
Circle secretly submitted an IPO plan to the US SEC in January. With this transition, Circle may face heavier US taxation. The legal base refers to a location chosen by a company or organization as its registration and legal affiliation.
