According to PANews, Friend.tech has announced that starting next week, linking the X platform to Friend.tech accounts will become optional. New users will also be able to choose any unclaimed usernames during registration. If they wish to purchase a Twitter friend's key, they will need to start checking the Twitter username displayed separately on their personal profile.
The update is primarily based on two reasons, as stated by Friend.tech. Firstly, the Friend.tech V2 version will be open to audiences beyond Twitter. Secondly, if existing users wish to receive their on-chain points on their new accounts, the optional linking option will allow existing users to link their Twitter to their new accounts before the V2 version is released.
It is reported that after the new registration process is released next week, Friend.tech will provide further explanations through the X platform and its application.
