#baby $BABY I assumed that because Bitcoin is the best collateral in crypto, DeFi would naturally build around it. TBH this Babylon CreatorPad made me realize I had the whole BTCFi idea backwards Just because BTC was first, it was built having totally different priorities in mind, while lending, borrowing and yield in crypto were not even a thing. So over the years various projects tackled this problem only to face some of the trade offs that Bitcoiners don't accept that easily. They tried wrapping it, bridging it, putting someone else in charge... but none of it feels just like native BTC. So having this in mind @babylonlabs_io flipped the question. They put it backwards, or as I call it... reverse problem solving. Dont move Bitcoin to DeFi. Keep BTC on its native chain and build the infrastructure around it. That was the moment it clicked for me That sounds simple... until you realize Bitcoin was never designed to efficiently verify modern cryptographic proofs 😅 That's one of the trade offs behind its security So Babylon tackled that problem too They just published their research on #BABE BABE focuses on making the verification of cryptographic proofs on Bitcoin dramatically cheaper. Their research describes a 1000× reduction in verification cost Im not a technical writer, so Ill leave the cryptography to people that are into that kind of problem. What I care about is what it means If proving things to Bitcoin becomes dramatically cheaper, building BTCFi around native BTC suddenly becomes much more practical. And I think that's the part many Bitcoiners, including me, never really thought about before Now I understand better why my testnet deposit took about 3 hours, and why the withdrawal takes about 3 days... Those aren't random waiting times. They're part of keeping Bitcoin native instead of taking shortcuts. $BABY

VICTORIA _777:
This is the kind of Bitcoin progress we need. 💯
I used to think the most important part of staking was the yield. Then I noticed something interesting: people were talking less about how much they earned and more about how quickly they could access their capital again. That shift made me wonder whether liquidity is becoming more valuable than rewards, especially in markets that move faster than traditional staking cycles. That's why Babylon has me thinking differently about unbonding. If Bitcoin can help secure networks while reducing how long capital stays locked, then unbonding speed becomes more than a convenience—it becomes a measure of capital efficiency. The bigger question isn't whether users *can* unstake faster. It's whether they actually redeploy that capital into productive opportunities instead of simply chasing the next incentive. There's also a difference between short-term attention and long-term adoption. Fast exits might attract users initially, but sustained participation depends on confidence that capital can move without unnecessary friction. In the end, the value isn't just a shorter waiting period. It's the flexibility that influences behavior. I'm still watching to see whether Babylon is truly reducing idle capital—or simply helping it move around more quickly. #Babe $BABY @babylonlabs_io
