Start-of-day check on Binance's top spot grid bots: 1 of the top 15 bots are already out of range (BTC/USDT). Copy one now and the grid does nothing until the price comes back. This morning's pick: $BNB (BNB/BTC), listed +2.30% over 10d 18h 27m. Verdict: About the same as holding. The grid adds little: it's really a bet on the coin. My Honest Opinion: Why Neither Bots nor Manual Trading Will Save You From Losses! 💣In recent months, I’ve been constantly asked: "Are you still trading manually, or are you just letting an bot do the work for you?" 🤔 My short answer: Neither a bot nor your gut feeling is a money printer. 💸 I've tested both worlds, and here is my unfiltered take on it. Why I Often Curse Manual Trading (But Still Need It) 👊 To be completely honest: The biggest enemy in manual trading is always sitting right in front of the screen. I've experienced it often enough. You map out a perfect trading plan, only to throw it overboard at the very first red candle out of panic. The Emotional Problem: FOMO is real. When trading manually, it’s far too easy to shift stop-losses or enter revenge trades after a bad run.The Advantage: I can contextualize breaking news, whale movements, and market structure shifts (liquidity sweeps) immediately. When unexpected breaking news hits the market, I'm glad I can hit "Close Position" myself instead of relying on a rigid script. The Myth of Passive Income via Bots 🤖 A lot of people think you just turn on an bot, lean back, and watch the profits roll in. That’s a dangerous illusion. ⚠️ The Overfitting Problem: A bot that looks insanely profitable on backtested charts over the last three months can completely wreck your portfolio in two days under current market conditions. Market dynamics shift constantly.A Bot Is Only as Smart as Its Commands: An algorithm has no feel for market sentiment. When a geopolitical flash crash occurs, it blindly executes its math. If your risk management isn't rock-solid, it will burn through your capital at lightning speed, fully automated. 🫣 My Personal Conclusion To me, this debate is far too black-and-white. An bot is not a replacement for market understanding; it’s simply an execution tool. If your underlying strategy is flawed, a bot only speeds up your losses. 😱 How I approach it: I use automation (like grid trading or DCA) for repetitive routine tasks that save me time. However, strategy, risk management, and decision-making during volatile market phases remain strictly in my hands. I’m not handing my capital over to an algorithm on autopilot. What’s your take? 🤖 Have you tried a trading bot and ended up disappointed? Or are you still searching for one that actually works? I've been testing rule-based trading automation, and these are some of the signals being tracked in a bearish market. But here's what I've learned: A bot is only as good as the strategy behind it. Automation removes emotional execution, not trading risk. I'm curious: Would you pay for a well-tested trading bot, or have past experiences made you lose trust in them? #TradingBots #BinanceSquare #2Sydes

Modo Post-Only: Fuerza a tus algoritmos a operar exclusivamente como Maker.

1. Modo Post-Only: Fuerza a tus algoritmos a operar exclusivamente como Maker.

#RiskManagement #TradingBots

We copied 13 top Binance grid bots on 30 Sep. 19 days later 1 is in profit; median return −10.47% while the coins moved −15.57%. When we copied them, Binance showed a median ROI of +4.72%. Example: $QNT listed +17.12%, now −25.26%. The grids weren't the problem: 6 of 13 beat simply holding the same coin. The listed ROI mostly reflected the coin's move. Son of Nakamoto:
Really useful data, thanks. Yes, I check three things before copying: how much room is left between the current price and the band edges, whether profit per grid is clearly above the round-trip fee (otherwise the bot just pays Binance), and the coin's 30-day trend, because a spot grid is mostly a long bet on that coin. Your 6/13 beating hold is the most honest number here. Would you split grid profit vs. coin PnL per bot in a future update?
