$HYPE 📈 is having one of those moments where the chart looks hot, but the whale activity tells an even more interesting story.
#HYPE After a small pullback toward $76, HYPE quickly found buyers again, held the $78 area, reclaimed $80, and even pushed toward $83. Right now, the bigger picture still looks strong, with the token up around 40% for the week.
But here's what caught my attention: the whales are fighting on both sides.
Two whales recently accumulated around 107,000 HYPE, worth roughly $8.7 million. One of them came back after two months of inactivity and withdrew nearly 80,000 HYPE from exchanges. That wallet now reportedly holds more than 1.36 million HYPE, accumulated around an average price of $70.
Another whale also withdrew over $2 million worth of HYPE from OKX.
That's some serious buying pressure.
At the same time, not every whale is waiting for higher prices. One large holder sold over 301,000 HYPE, worth around $24.4 million, locking in more than $5 million in profit.
So yes, there is profit-taking happening.
But the important part is that the market is absorbing that selling pressure without breaking the trend. That tells me buyers are still stepping in aggressively.
Technically, the structure remains bullish. HYPE is still holding its upward trend, and momentum indicators continue to favor the bulls. RSI is getting close to overbought territory, which means volatility could increase, but strong assets can remain overbought for longer than most traders expect.
For me, $83 is the level to watch now. A clean breakout and hold above it could open the door for another all-time high.
On the downside, the bigger bullish structure starts looking much weaker if HYPE loses the $70 area.
Right now, the story is simple: whales are taking profits, other whales are accumulating, and buyers are still absorbing the supply.
As long as that balance stays in favor of buyers, HYPE may not be finished with this rally yet. 👀🔥
