Binance just killed a six-year-old business. And
$BNB barely blinked — because it's fighting a bigger battle at $743.
Here's what actually happened today, and why it matters more than the price chart suggests.
THE PRUNE
Binance announced it will permanently shut down Binance Pool on November 10 — ending Pool Savings, Cloud Mining, the Transaction Accelerator, and mining APIs. Mining connections go dark, no new rewards after the cutoff, and historical records stay available only until November 24.
The reason given was generic: an "ongoing review of products and services." Read between the lines: Binance is cutting what doesn't fit its future.
And it doesn't stop there. From October 27, Brazilian users lose eight services — including Launchpool, Megadrop, and margin trading — as Binance complies with new Central Bank of Brazil rules. That's a real demand driver, Launchpool, getting restricted in a major market.
THE REBUILD
While it prunes, Binance is also rebuilding. In the last 48 hours alone it launched Auto Order Routing for spot trading — automatically routing thin local-currency pairs through more liquid pairs so traders get a better price in a single transaction with one fee — plus AI trading tools already trialled by around 150,000 users, and four more TradFi perpetuals on Futures (Zcash ETF shares, a 2x MSTR ETF, Synopsys, and Redwire stocks).
Old skin off. New skin on. That's the story nobody's telling about Binance right now.
THE PRICE STANDOFF
Now the chart.
$BNB is trading around $742 — down about 1% in 24 hours and over 5% on the week. It dipped to $724 today, bounced, and is now sitting right on its 50-day average near $743.
That average is the line in the sand.
$BNB is already below its 7-day and 20-day averages, and the $750–$758 band above is the level that decides whether this bounce is real or just a dead-cat bounce. Below, $723–$718 is the must-hold floor from the October 8 crash low.
Meanwhile traders are still crowded long — roughly 69% of Binance
$BNB accounts are long. Crowded longs plus a price sitting on its last average is a recipe for a sharp move in either direction.
And tomorrow brings the macro trigger: US CPI prints Wednesday at 8:30 AM ET. History says CPI moves
$BTC first, and
$BNB follows — it doesn't lead.
WHAT BREAKS NEXT
A daily close back above $758 flips the script toward $778, then the $800 wall everyone keeps failing at. Lose $723, and $718 and then $706 come into play fast.
One thing not to bank on: the 37th quarterly burn, still without a confirmed date. History is blunt — past burns landed flat to slightly down on the day. Burns trim supply slowly; they don't break ceilings by themselves.
So here's the real question: is Binance's rebuild enough to pull
$BNB off its 50-day lifeline — or is this the shakeout before CPI? Check the
$BNB chart and watch $758.
