A record supply or TVL figure captures a moment in an ecosystem's development. It does not mean that the same level will remain unchanged.

USDD's October report noted that circulating supply surpassed $1.81 billion and TVL exceeded $2.51 billion during the month, reaching new highs on October 12 before declining toward month-end.

These figures should be read alongside the end-October snapshot of approximately $1.50 billion in circulating supply.

Understanding the timeline prevents misleading comparisons. Markets move, capital rotates, and users adjust their positions as conditions change.

A milestone is worth recognizing, but responsible analysis also explains what happened after it and why the reporting date matters.
