President Donald Trump’s 2025 financial disclosure lists more than $50 million in Bitcoin held in cold storage, recorded under CIC Digital LLC. $BTC
The Bitcoin sits inside The Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust, where the president is the sole beneficiary. The filing describes it as a cryptocurrency wallet virtual Bitcoin key held in a cold wallet, meaning the keys are kept offline rather than at a third-party exchange.
The line is capped at “Over $50,000,000,” the highest bracket the form allows, so the true holding could be larger. The Bitcoin entry shows no income for the period, consistent with an asset held rather than sold, and the filing does not reveal when it was acquired, at what price, or how the position changed during the year.
Other crypto appears nearby: an $ETH key valued between $5 million and $25 million, a Coinbase staking position that produced $510,808 in validator rewards, and a USDC holding in the $5 million to $25 million range. Separate World Liberty Financial entries include another Bitcoin key listed at “Over $50,000,000,” plus a stated token-sale line of $236.25 million.
The larger “$1 billion” crypto-revenue total is an aggregation of multiple filing lines, not a single number printed on the form, and those token-sale proceeds are described as distributed by World Liberty Financial LLC, so they may not equal net income to Trump. A $635,068,835 royalty line sits under CIC Digital and is tied to a licensing agreement with Celebration Coins; the filing does not call it a memecoin. Vice President JD Vance separately reports Bitcoin valued between $250,000 and $500,000.
If you care about self-custody, a sitting president reporting cold-storage Bitcoin could make the practice feel more mainstream—though the filing says nothing about cost basis or future plans. The practical takeaway: treat the $50 million figure as a reporting floor, not a precise balance.
