$INIT Is Back Online — But Network Recovery Is Only the First Test

Initia’s Layer 1 and rollup networks are back online following the security incident that forced operations to stop on October 23.

The restart is an important operational milestone, but it should not be confused with a complete recovery of ecosystem confidence.

The incident involved a vulnerability in MoveVM’s script-caching mechanism. Initia’s recovery plan included an independently audited patch, isolating the attacker’s remaining fabricated balances, and restoring the backing of affected assets, including AUSD0, USDC.n and WETH.

There are still practical details users should understand:

• LayerZero OFT withdrawals for WETH and AUSD0 have a 24-hour processing period.
• Noble USDC withdrawals are subject to hourly limits.
• Cross-chain bridge and exchange transfers are expected to resume after additional monitoring.

For $INIT , the key question now is not simply whether the chain is running again. It is whether validators, applications, liquidity providers and users can return safely and consistently.

A successful restart is a technical milestone. Sustained activity, reliable liquidity and transparent post-incident reporting will be the stronger measures of recovery.

What would you monitor first before considering a network fully recovered: uptime, liquidity, or user activity?
