$CCD Concordium’s identity disclosure model is worth understanding. A person’s identity-to-account link cannot simply be opened by one party. It requires court orders, the Identity Provider, and cooperation from at least two of three independent Privacy Guardians. The key distinction: the Identity Provider knows who you are, but not your on-chain activity. Privacy Guardians can help unlock the link, but hold no personal data. That separation matters. Privacy shouldn’t mean a single entity can expose you at will and it shouldn’t make stolen funds impossible to trace through legal process. A thoughtful balance between privacy and accountability.
