Strive CEO Matt Cole said Bitcoin had proved more resilient than expected after the $6.3 billion Binance hack. Cole said the breach did not alter the long-term investment case for Bitcoin, but judging whether prices had bottomed remained premature. CoinGecko data put Bitcoin near $77,400 at 4:00 pm on Saturday, about 4% below the price just before the attack began Thursday. Glassnode described the breach as the largest cryptocurrency hack recorded. Blockaid CEO Ido Ben-Natan said Binance's transaction signing process appeared to have been compromised. Binance said Friday that the ongoing investigation had found no evidence that wallet private keys had leaked.
