🚨 $XRP Ledger is tightening its token rules before a loophole becomes a bigger problem. Developers are proposing four changes under the upcoming fixCleanup3_5_0 upgrade to strengthen restrictions on who can hold permissioned tokens on the XRP Ledger. These tokens, often used for regulated assets such as stablecoins and tokenized funds, require issuer approval before an account can hold them. The proposed fixes would close exceptions involving automated market maker pools and trust lines that already have token balances, while making approval checks more consistent across the network. The $XRP Ledger Foundation says it knows of no users affected by these remaining exceptions and describes the work as routine security hardening, not a response to an active incident. If an unapproved account holds a restricted token under the proposed rules, it could only return the token to its issuer until approval is granted. Once the issuer approves the account, normal use can resume. The changes are not active on mainnet yet. After the code is merged, the upgrade will still need support from more than 80% of trusted validators for two consecutive weeks before activation. #Macro Insights# #XRP #Altcoin Season#
