Circle shareholder J. Benjamin Greenberg sued President Donald Trump and World Liberty Financial on Thursday over alleged unconstitutional profiteering. Greenberg's lawsuit alleges that Trump received more than $2 billion through World Liberty Financial in payments connected to a foreign government. The lawsuit challenges two UAE-linked transactions and alleges that the transactions diverted business from Circle. Greenberg seeks compensatory and punitive damages. Circle had not immediately responded to a request for comment, and responses from the White House and World Liberty Financial were pending.
