The Central Bank of Ireland fined Coinbase's Irish unit €3.25 million ($3.65 million) over safeguarding and outsourcing breaches between 2020 and 2025. The bank announced the penalty on Thursday after reaching a settlement with Coinbase Ireland on Wednesday. A Coinbase spokesperson said Coinbase had reported the issues to the bank voluntarily and that no customers lost money or access to funds because of the issues.
