Everyone thinks a clean push through a round number means the hard part is over, but actually two separate ceilings can sit in the same spot and act like one thick wall.

A lot of $BTC traders learn this the expensive way. They buy the first strong candle into resistance, then watch the trade go red while they argue with the chart about why an obvious breakout stalled.

Picture the monthly open as the front door of the house you already walked into this month. That door now lines up almost perfectly around $83.6k. Just above it, the $84k region is the previous intermediate high, more like the low branch you already bumped your head on once. When the doorway and the branch occupy the same stretch of air, you are not clearing one small hurdle. You are asking price to get past two reasons for sellers to lean in at once. A move into that pocket can look decisive on a lower timeframe and still fail, because the monthly open and the old high are both demanding proof in the same neighborhood.

The common miss is treating $84k as a finish line instead of a checkpoint. If $BTC cannot hold above that stacked zone, the push was a test of supply, not a fresh trend.

Do you wait for a close through that area, or do you respect the first rejection?
