Elon Musk says he will give a SpaceX share to every kid in America next year: With ~73 million children in the US, that equals ~73 MILLION SpaceX shares. At today's price of ~$147 per share, the gift would be worth ~$10.7 BILLION. @elonmusk also said this "will be the first of many." He is not the first, as SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell pledged one share to over 2 million children in July. Musk has long argued that AI and robots will eventually lead to a "universal high income." Could giving every child a stake in the economy be the first step toward universal basic income?
