🚨 Despite being one of crypto’s biggest names, $XRP is still struggling to reclaim its January 2018 peak of $3.55. At around $1.33, it remains roughly 62.5% below that level, while #Bitcoin and several other major cryptocurrencies have climbed well beyond their 2017–2018 highs. One major factor is supply. XRP’s circulating supply increased by approximately 63%, from 38.7 billion tokens in 2017 to 63.1 billion. This means each token represents a smaller share of the total market value, even though XRP’s circulating market capitalization has changed relatively little over that period. Demand is another concern. XRP investment funds have attracted around $1.8 billion in cumulative inflows, far less than Bitcoin ETFs, which can attract more than $1 billion in a single day. Meanwhile, XRP spot trading volume has fallen 53.5%, perpetual futures volume 44%, and active addresses 10.7%, according to Nansen data cited in the report. Regulatory uncertainty also played a role. Ripple’s prolonged legal battle with the SEC weighed on XRP, although the case ended in August 2025 after both sides dropped their appeals. But XRP isn't the only token still below its old highs. The bigger question is whether its payments-focused ecosystem can generate enough demand to offset supply growth and renewed competition across crypto. #BTC Price Analysis# #Macro Insights# #Altcoin Season# $BTC
