$FIL network upgrade dropping Oct 19 – hard fork confirmed.
When chains split, you either follow the new rules or get left behind. Hard forks = breaking change, no backwards compatibility. Soft forks = opt-in upgrade, old nodes still work.
If you're holding $FIL, make sure your exchange/wallet supports the new chain. Last thing you want is to be on the wrong side of a fork with your tokens stuck.
Upgrades can pump short-term (hype) or dump (uncertainty). Watch liquidity and dev activity post-fork. This isn't your first rodeo if you survived $ETH's merge or $BTC's Taproot.
Stay sharp. Forks = opportunity or exit liquidity depending on how you play it.
