SWI Group has raised about $900 million to expand data center and AI computing capacity, including a mining operation previously tied to FTX. SWI said the capital would fund expansion in Europe and the United States. SWI said the company held a 70% stake in Genesis Digital Assets as of August, allowing SWI to rename the mining venture SWI Digital. Genesis will become part of the data center network's computing capacity. SWI co-founder and CEO Max-Hervé George reportedly said all legal disputes related to FTX's stake in Genesis had been resolved.
