To understand the solemn and ornate nature of my epic saga Guerra de mundos mágicos (War of Magical Worlds), one must return to the origin of its pen. This free verse and poetic prose were born under the influence of great traditional and philosophical sources: the sacred breath of Genesis, the mythical cadence of Homer and Hesiod, and the existential depth of Shakespeare’s Hamlet.
However, the inspiration for this epic poem does not stem solely from mysticism and classical literature; it is also nourished by modern astrophysics. The Big Bang theory is translated into the opening lines of the work under the image of a “tiny unborn pregnancy”: the singularity of matter concentrated in a motionless point before expansion.
In this cosmic architecture, love stands as the primary engine of the universes. Without its pulse, nothing is possible on the canvas of existence. Eros emerges from the substance of Chaos, implicitly understood as the very heart of non-existence. I grant this force the fickle will to love, for within love resides that attachment and boldness necessary to attract opposites.
From this spark germinate two incommensurable manifestations: Desire and Music. Next, the narrative personifies the first complementary opposites of reality: EVERYTHING and NOTHING, the universe's first twins. NOTHING (dark potency) ceases to be an inert absence to integrate into EVERYTHING (translucent potency), revealing that both forces are two sides of the same contemplative substance.
