$OKX just filed with the SEC to launch a tokenized stock trading platform 👀
The play: OKX + ICE (NYSE parent) formed OKXICE LLC to offer tokenized shares of 63 NYSE-listed companies. Issuers get a 30-day opt-out window before launch.
Context: SEC dropped a temp exemption framework last month allowing blockchain securities to trade in the US — but only if they carry full shareholder rights (dividends, voting, etc.).
Timeline depends on that 30-day opt-out period wrapping + regulatory boxes getting checked.
This is the bridge between TradFi rails and onchain settlement. If it clears, we're looking at real liquidity for tokenized equities in the US for the first time.
