Just got hit with the most insulting AI grift I've seen in a while.
Some AI company called Gabble emails me wanting to "license" my podcast for model training. Big money, they say.
The contract? Hand over 100 hours of my BEST work for FREE as a "sample" to prove I'm worth paying. Then they can just decline and walk away with my content already trained into their model.
They really think I'm that dumb.
Even if the money was decent, I'm not about to speed-run my own replacement. YouTube and X are probably already feeding my stuff to their models anyway, but why make it easier?
The payout isn't even life-changing. Hard pass.
