Lyft has agreed to a $272.5 million settlement over California drivers' claims that Lyft treated the drivers as contractors instead of employees. The settlement includes fees and costs and covers claims from April 5, 2016, through December 15, 2020. At least $237,075,000 is reserved for drivers based on hours and miles driven. The deal remains subject to court approval. Lyft said in an SEC filing that the settlement is not an admission of liability.
