Beating AI Brief: Runway showcases Project Continuum, an operating system research project that extends Solaris's real-time generative interface to the entire computer interaction. Previously, Solaris mainly demonstrated how AI generates app interfaces frame by frame. Continuum has already applied this approach to scenarios such as web browsing, invoking Agents, and 3D interaction. When users view a webpage, they can turn its content directly into an interactive 3D scene. When an AI Agent performs tasks, it can also simultaneously generate the corresponding visual interface. The page changes in real time according to the current content and task, without the need to design every state in advance. Most interfaces of traditional software are determined in advance by developers. Continuum attempts to change part of that to real-time generation, allowing the computer to temporarily generate the most suitable pages and interaction methods based on what the user is doing.Project Continuum is currently still a research prototype, and Runway has not yet announced a release date.
