🚨 $ZEC Bitget Hack Update
The Zcash shielding activity appears to be MUCH larger than initially reported.
By 23:58 UTC on Sep 30, the attacker had moved 10,222 $ZEC (~$14M) into Ironwood, Zcash’s newest shielded pool, across 22 deposits.
That’s more than half of the roughly 18.9K ZEC reportedly stolen — not just the ~15% cited in some early reports.
🔎 All 22 deposits reportedly passed through 3 hop addresses funded by t1WgMdt.
The transparent side remains traceable:
• 8,582 ZEC on t1WgMdt
• 1,004 ZEC on one hop address
• 22 Ironwood deposits verified
This is a significant development for the $ZEC story. 👀
