🚨 12.4M XRP has been drained from D’CENT wallets. 😳🪙
A reported 12.4M+ XRP was stolen from around 7,393 XRP Ledger wallets during the September 15 to 25 attack.
And the attack didn't stop with XRP.
🔴 Around 6.3M XRP was swapped into Ethereum
₿ Bitcoin was also affected
♦ Ethereum and Tron were targeted
⭐ XLM was reportedly stolen too
D’CENT says it is working with authorities, exchanges and security specialists to trace and potentially freeze the stolen funds.
The company has also urged affected users to create a new recovery phrase and move assets to a new wallet.
⚠️ The biggest lesson?
If a recovery phrase may have been compromised, simply updating the app isn't enough.
