The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has accused a former analyst from Goldman Sachs and Blackstone, Anthony Viggiano, of engaging in insider trading related to several merger-and-acquisition deals.

According to the SEC's complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Sept. 28, Viggiano is alleged to have shared confidential information about upcoming M&A deals and strategic partnerships with two friends.
