The NFT market has been shrinking since January 2023, with minimum prices for top-tier NFT projects dropping as collectors reduce risks by selling at lower prices. However, tokenized markets are expected to reach $24 trillion by 2027, driven by the use of tokenization to create digital representations of various assets. Real estate is one aspect of the emerging NFT ecosystem, with companies offering tokenized properties. Recently, two companies, arcade.xyz and 4k, demonstrated how real-world assets can be backed by NFTs, using two Rolex watches as collateral for a loan. The integration of physical assets with NFTs offers new possibilities for asset ownership, trading, and monetization, reshaping how we perceive and interact with physical assets in the digital realm.
