I've always felt that using Bitcoin in DeFi came with too many compromises.
If you wanted liquidity, you usually had to wrap your BTC, bridge it somewhere else, or trust a third party to hold it for you. That never felt like the original vision of Bitcoin.
That's why I found Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV) from @BabylonLabs_io interesting.
Instead of asking us to move away from native Bitcoin, TBV is designed to let us use native BTC as collateral while remaining self-custodial. We keep control of our keys, and there's no need to rely on centralized intermediaries.
One feature that caught my attention is the native Bitcoin-backed borrowing experience with Aave v4 on the public testnet. It shows how Bitcoin can become productive without giving up the properties that make it valuable in the first place.
If you've been waiting for a way to put your BTC to work without wrapping or bridging it, this is worth exploring. I'm planning to spend more time testing it and seeing how the experience evolves.
What do you think h is this the direction Bitcoin-backed DeFi should be heading?
Sell your BTC to unlock liquidity, or leave it sitting idle.
@BabylonLabs_io is introducing a different approach with Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV).
Instead of wrapping BTC, bridging it, or relying on custodians, TBV enables native Bitcoin to be used as collateral while remaining self-custodial.
One of the first live use cases is native Bitcoin-backed borrowing on Aave v4.
Users can post native BTC as collateral and borrow supported assets like USDC or USDT, all without giving up control of their Bitcoin.
What stands out to me is the design philosophy:
✅ Native BTC collateral
✅ No wrapping or bridging
✅ No trusted intermediaries
✅ Self-custodial from start to finish
The public testnet is already live, making it a great opportunity to experience how native Bitcoin-backed borrowing works and share feedback with the team.
As Bitcoin expands beyond a store of value, infrastructure like Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV) could open the door to a much broader range of on-chain financial applications.
When $DEXE pumped , i thought it could be next $LAB but seems like this $BANK looks next LAB
Why Not Dexe..? Because it's a old project and supply is not concentrated as Bank supply.
So let's see what's playing out next. what's my suggestion in this pump..? bro don't react on first weekly candle pump , just keep observing and stay calm. better you stay away if you are new in this manipulative World.
