HONK, the goose-themed meme coin running on the Solana network, launched on January 13 and is competing with BONK on the network. Meme coin explains that its sole goal is to surpass BONK in terms of market cap and price. The meme coin is inspired by the viral video game “Untitled Goose Game”.
The recent growth of the Solana ecosystem has been largely fueled by Bonk, Dogwifhat, Myro and other meme coins. Honk is struggling to overtake Solana's top Bonk meme coin, which currently has a market cap of $613 million.
HONK price rose over 800% after its launch last month, but erased some of its gains. The price is still trading over 400% and trading at $0.01236. It reached $0.02472, down from its all-time low price of $0.002431.
