According to Foresight News, Ethereum developers are planning to increase the maximum staking threshold for individual validators from 32 ETH to 2048 ETH in the Pectra upgrade. This change is part of EIP-7251 and aims to allow validators to hold a balance between 32 and 2048 ETH, instead of the current 32 ETH limit. The move is expected to reduce the operational burden on stakeholders by decreasing the number of required validators.
