HBO has recently stirred up controversy, claiming that Bitcoin Core developer Peter Todd might actually be Satoshi Nakamoto. Their key piece of "evidence" is a peculiar comment Todd allegedly left on Satoshi's post in 2010, supposedly forgetting to switch accounts. 😳 However, this theory feels more like an old myth rather than a fact-backed claim.

Some of the arguments presented are quite amusing: ▪️ Satoshi's posting schedule mirrored that of a student’s, being more active on weekends. At the time, Todd was still a student. 😁 ▪️ Todd introduced the concept of "replace-by-fee" (RBF), which was initially brought up in a discussion on the same forum where Satoshi was active. Todd is believed to have used the alias "John Dillon" to promote RBF. 🤔 ▪️ Both Todd and Satoshi shared a preference for British/Canadian spelling. ▪️ At one point, Todd spoke about "donating" BTC, which some speculate could be linked to Satoshi's known act of destroying coins. 🤯

Despite these speculations, Peter Todd has firmly denied having any role in Bitcoin's creation. As for the crypto market, it remains completely unfazed by this latest "revelation" regarding Satoshi Nakamoto’s true identity. 🤷
