I used to believe Binance bStocks were simple.

"The chart just follows NVIDIA or Apple... that's it."

Then I asked myself a question:

If the real NVIDIA stock is trading at $100, what stops its bStock from trading at $110... or crashing to $90?

That question sent me down a rabbit hole. 🧵👇

Here's what I learned...

Imagine this:

📈 NVIDIA = $100
📈 NVIDIA bStock = $105

At first glance, that looks like free money.

Why?

Because if eligible participants can create new bStocks by backing them with real shares, they'll buy the $100 stock, create a bStock, and sell it for $105.

More sellers enter the market.
Supply increases.
The bStock price naturally moves back toward the real stock price.

Now flip the situation:

📉 NVIDIA = $100
📉 NVIDIA bStock = $95

Professional traders spot another opportunity.

They buy the cheaper bStock and, where the product structure allows, redeem it for the underlying share.

As bStocks leave the market, supply decreases, helping the price move back toward the real stock.

This process is called arbitrage.

The surprising part?

This isn't just a Binance thing.

The same creation and redemption mechanism is used in many ETFs and other asset-backed financial products to help keep prices aligned with the value of their underlying assets.

The more I learn about TradFi, the more I realize that price isn't held in place by magic...

It's held in place because markets reward people who eliminate price differences.

entonces empecé a leer sobre Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV) y más o menos cambió la forma en que lo veo.
lo interesante no es "hacer que el BTC se mueva."
es "hacer que el BTC sea útil."
usar Bitcoin nativo como garantía mientras se mantiene la autocustodia se siente como una idea que realmente respeta lo que es Bitcoin en lugar de obligarlo a convertirse en otra cosa.

imagine you have something valuable sitting in your wallet, but every time you want to actually use it, you have to change it into something else first.
that's kinda how Bitcoin in DeFi has felt to me.
you have native BTC. you own it. you trust it. but when you want to use that value elsewhere, suddenly you're thinking about wrapping, bridging, and intermediaries.
this is why i find what @BabylonLabs_io is working on with Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV) interesting.
the goal isn't to make Bitcoin into something else. it's to find a way for native BTC to actually be used as collateral across chains and applications.
the first use case with Aave v4 is native Bitcoin-backed borrowing on testnet, and honestly, i think this is the kind of thing that makes Bitcoin's role in DeFi worth watching.
because maybe the next step for Bitcoin isn't just asking "how high can it go?"
maybe it's asking "what can we actually do with the Bitcoin we already have?"

😂 Juro que el mercado tiene un problema personal con mi estrategia.

Cada vez que una moneda se dispara fuerte, me digo a mí mismo, "nah, que se enfríe... esperaré una mejor entrada." $ON va a 🌙. vamos a ver cuánto sube.

sí, ni siquiera estaba mirando $ON hoy...

entonces abrí el gráfico y tuve que mirar dos veces.

hace unas semanas, esto estaba cotizando cerca de la zona de 0,10 dólares y ahora está por encima de 0,35. la vela semanal básicamente está gritando "¡mírame!" 😂

pero lo que llamó mi atención no fue solo el movimiento del precio. el volumen también se ha disparado de repente, lo que me hace preguntarme si esto es solo un impulso loco o si realmente está pasando algo más grande detrás de escena.

al mismo tiempo, el RSI ya está alrededor de 77, así que definitivamente no voy a fingir que esto es una situación fácil de "compra ahora y mira cómo sube". después de un movimiento así, una corrección no me sorprendería en absoluto.

por ahora, solo estoy vigilando una cosa...

Pero lo interesante es poder, de verdad, probar el flujo y ver cómo funciona en la práctica.
El préstamo con respaldo de Bitcoin nativo con Aave v4 ya está activo en una testnet pública, así que esto ya no es solo un concepto que se debate en un whitepaper. Las personas pueden explorarlo, ver cómo funciona el proceso y compartir comentarios.

lo que me parece interesante sobre @BabylonLabs_io y Trustless Bitcoin Vaults (TBV) es el intento de cambiar eso sin pedir a los tenedores de Bitcoin que conviertan su BTC en otra cosa.
la idea es hacer que el Bitcoin nativo sea utilizable como garantía en cadenas y aplicaciones, sin empaquetar, hacer puentes (bridging) ni depender de intermediarios.
para mí, esa es una forma bastante diferente de ver el papel de Bitcoin en DeFi. en lugar de preguntar "¿cómo creamos otra versión de BTC?", la pregunta pasa a ser "¿cómo hacemos que el BTC que ya existe sea más útil?"
el primer caso de uso de TBV, el préstamo nativo respaldado por Bitcoin con Aave v4, ya se está explorando en la testnet. así que ahora es realmente interesante ver cómo esta idea se desarrolla en el mundo real.
