#SP500EarningsBeatExpectations S&P 500 just put up one of the strongest earnings seasons in years. ~86% of companies beat EPS estimates (well above the 5-year average). Aggregate earnings came in nearly 30% above expectations — the biggest surprise on record since FactSet started tracking it. Even after stripping out the massive one-off gains from Alphabet and Amazon, growth is still running hot (mid-20s to low-30s % YoY). What’s more interesting is the breadth. It’s not just the Mag 7 or pure tech story anymore. Energy, industrials, financials and several other sectors are contributing. Margins are expanding and analysts have been raising estimates for the rest of 2026 instead of the usual post-earnings cuts. Strong corporate profits = healthier economy = better environment for risk assets overall. Crypto doesn’t live in a vacuum.
