You can believe GDP and REV are important, while also disbelieving that a DCF is the right way to value the native asset of an L1

IMO, regardless of whether you believe L1 assets are monetary or equity-like… you should care about maximizing REV.

#sp500topsrecord7800 The S&P 500 printed its first-ever close above 7,800 this week — hitting an intraday record of 7,816.70 and a record close of 7,798.99 on Thursday, its 27th record close of 2026 . Friday gave back a little (−0.17% to 7,785.76), but the index still banked a third straight weekly gain — and it did so while getting cheaper. Why it broke out: two soft inflation prints (CPI +0.1% MoM, PPI flat) crushed Fed-hike fears and eased yields, while Q2 earnings jumped +31% YoY — the strongest outside a recession rebound since 1992 — pushing forward P/E down from ~26x in January to ~22x . Profits are outrunning prices, and this record is built on earnings, the kind that holds. The catch: the same week flashed consumer cracks — July retail sales fell −0.6% MoM (first drop in nine months), UMich sentiment plunged to 51 vs 54.5 expected , and the VIX at 14.25 screams complacency while September hike odds still sit around 1-in-3. A record index against a fading consumer is a real divergence. What's next: opex week with FOMC minutes Wednesday and retail earnings (HD → TGT/LOW → WMT), then the heavy hitters — PCE + NVIDIA ($NVDAB ) earnings land together Aug 26 , and Fed Chair Warsh speaks at Jackson Hole Aug 27–29. Reddit also joins the S&P 500, forcing index-fund buying. Wall Street's average year-end target: 7,894 ; Yardeni at 8,400, Tom Lee at 7,900–8,000. The bull case is broadening — 75% of S&P tech names are back above their 200-DMA, a first since Oct 2024. But with expectations this high, every data point cuts both ways. 7,800 is now the floor to defend — the next test is whether it becomes support or just another top call. $MU $INTC #SP500EarningsBeatExpectations #CryptoStartupsRaise$11.2BInH1 #COWRises55.77%In24h #COWRises55.77%In24h
