According to Foresight News, a group of Russian lawmakers led by Anatoly Aksakov, Chairman of the State Duma Financial Market Committee, has proposed a bill to expand the scope of anti-money laundering efforts to include digital ruble transactions. The bill provides a multi-layered model for implementing anti-money laundering requirements, involving credit institutions (platform participants) and platform operators (Russian banks). The main functions related to combating money laundering and terrorist financing in digital ruble transactions are assigned to the central bank.
