The veteran payment public chain Dash has arrived with a major upgrade! With Evolution mainnet officially activating Shielded transactions, it fully introduces the Halo 2 / Orchard recursive zero-knowledge proof architecture. The biggest highlight is that there’s absolutely no need for complex trusted setup (Trustless Setup). Verification can be completed in just a few milliseconds, and even lightweight mobile wallets don’t need to download dozens of gigabytes of full-node data for lightweight syncing. ZK privacy is truly built into everyday high-frequency payment scenarios.
2️⃣ Zcash Developers Release the Common Suite Package: Mobile Proof Generation Speed Up to 14x ⚡️
One of the biggest pain points in bringing ZK to real-world use has always been: “The mobile device has weaker compute power, and generating proofs is too slow and gets too hot.” Today, Zcash’s core development organization, Zakura, has open-sourced a brand-new cryptographic library called Common. Without requiring a hard fork, it directly boosts zk-SNARK proof generation speed on mobile devices (iOS/Android) by 14x, and reduces verification time by 4–8x. The biggest hardware bottleneck for decentralized privacy apps on mobile has finally been removed.
3️⃣ Polygon Activates Dual Hard Forks: Strengthening the Security Foundation of the ZK Aggregation Layer 🛡️
After Revolut, a European-level digital bank with tens of millions of users, issued the official euro stablecoin EURR on Polygon the day before yesterday, Polygon quickly moved into action. Through Austin and Kyoto dual hard forks, it strengthens both the consensus layer and execution layer at a deeper level. Full nodes have been upgraded to Bor v2.10.0, completely eliminating DoS risks, and laying a secure foundation for the AggLayer (ZK cross-chain aggregation layer), where billions in capital interoperability are expected to scale and roll out across the network.
