WHY I LIKE TRADING SMALL, USING DCA, AND TAKING PROFITS WITH THE CUMULATIVE PNL METHOD?

Just take a look at my BRUSDT trading history and you’ll understand. Some trades make a few dollars, some make a few dozen, and some even make over 100 USDT. But what I like most isn’t making one huge trade—it’s finding an asset that can generate profits over many cycles.

✅ Trade small: Even when prices move sharply, it feels less stressful. I can stay calmer and don’t have to constantly worry about liquidation.

✅ Use DCA with limits: When the price drops, as long as I’m within my capital limits, I can keep building my position at better prices. I don’t DCA at all costs just because the price is falling.

✅ Take profits over multiple cycles: When the price recovers, I take profits gradually, turning paper gains into realized gains. After closing a trade, I can open a small position again to stay involved if the price keeps moving.

The great thing is that I don’t have to catch an entire market move. If the price rises for a while, I can take profits. If it keeps fluctuating, I get more chances to profit from new cycles.

Instead of betting everything on one big win, I choose to accumulate small profits across many trading cycles.

However, DCA doesn’t guarantee a profit, and trading small doesn’t eliminate risk. To go the distance, the most important things are still managing your capital, setting DCA limits, and not letting any one position put too much strain on your account.

FUNDING -2%: SHORTS ARE BEING ERODED EVERY HOUR! 💀

Take a look at BTWUSDT. Its funding rate is currently -2% every 4 hours. That’s an extremely harsh rate for the Shorts!

With funding this deeply negative, Shorts have to pay Longs. With every funding interval, your account gets eaten away a little more. Even if the price drops and your Short position makes a profit, you still need to work out whether your gains are enough to cover the funding fees.

In particular, if funding fees are calculated based on the position’s notional value, then at -2% per interval, just 5 intervals add up to 10% of the position’s value. Even making a 100% profit on a trade might not be enough to cover these massive fees if you hold the position for a long time.

As for Longs, if you enter with a small position and manage your capital well, you have a chance to profit when the price rises and collect funding from Shorts while holding your position.

That’s also why I always emphasize the cumulative PNL approach: small position sizes, sound capital management, and patience. You don’t need to make one huge win—you just need to know where you stand in the game.
