After researching Binance Square's perps traders and KOLs from the project team's perspective, here are a few findings: 1. There is a contract trader leaderboard (updated dynamically every hour). If traders choose to display it publicly, their positions, community size, yield, and profit and loss can be seen. 99% of the active traders on this leaderboard are Chinese traders.
2. The overlap with KOLs we usually cooperate with is less than 1%. There are mainly two reasons: KOLs active on X are more into spot trading or low-frequency trading, while most traders focused on actual trading have dedicated their efforts to trading and do not operate personal accounts, nor do they define themselves as "KOLs."
A few suggestions (if you are interested and open to discussing cooperation with the project team): 1. First, we do not only look at follower numbers; we consider real trading and trading activity. So if you are an active trader, it is recommended to open a Square account and complete your profile information. Many profiles do not leave contact information, have no community, and some accounts are even not activated, making it hard for us to find a contact channel.
2. It is advisable to display some basic tags and information in your "portfolio" publicly and link it to other social media accounts (like X) so that both parties can quickly filter and match.
3. In the early stages, if no cooperation is reached, I suggest keeping in touch with the project team. Although Binance Square is still in its early days, it is a platform that the project team is closely monitoring. Next time there is a need, you will be the first one they think of.
4. I see many who want to create a Square account saying it’s hard to gain followers, and the threshold for starting a live stream is difficult to meet in a short time. If you manage other platforms, you can apply directly to give it a try. I sent an XHS link, and Square directly granted me live streaming permissions, and everyone can see I only have 7 followers 😂
To emphasize again, this is only for traders/KOLs who are interested and open to cooperating with the project team. I understand that trading profits far exceed collaboration profits. Hahaha, I hope to communicate more with active traders on Square.
This morning I watched Xiaolin's series of videos about the South Korean economy from two years ago.
This afternoon I went to a coffee shop and watched the Japan series.
Xiaolin explains a country's economic system very clearly each time. There are many comments from South Koreans and Japanese on YouTube, saying that her explanations are very objective and comprehensive; even a South Korean YouTuber might spend an hour and a half explaining it clearly. It's also very friendly to financial novices, explaining complex concepts in simple terms. I usually watch Xiaolin's YouTube videos whenever I have free time.
After watching those, I wanted to see how other countries interpret China's political and economic system, to see if I could find an objective and comprehensive analysis. Besides, even for Chinese people, due to limited information and freedom of speech, our own understanding might not be complete.
So I found a Spanish-language explanation video (I'm learning Spanish, and this was recommended by big data). Interestingly, the comments section overwhelmingly said it was biased. 😂
